METALLICA, PEARL JAM, Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Members Featured In Spoof ALICE IN CHAINS Documentary
April 3, 2013Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo of METALLICA, Ann and Nancy Wilson of HEART, Mike McCready of PEARL JAM, Kim Thayil of SOUNDGARDEN, Duff McKagan of GUNS N’ ROSES and VELVET REVOLVER, and others make cameo appearances in "AIC 23", a new skit from Funny Or Die which tells the story of Alan Poole McLard, a film studies professor at a community college who is trying to make a documentary film about ALICE IN CHAINS to coincide with the release of the band's new album, "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here". Without the cooperation of the members of ALICE IN CHAINS, McLard does his best to interview other musicians that may, or may not, have influenced AIC throughout the years.
Funny Or Die is a comedy video web site founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's production company, Gary Sanchez Productions. The site contains exclusive material from famous contributors such as Judd Apatow and James Franco, and also has its own team which creates original material for the site. Many clips on the site feature well-known actors like Charlie Sheen, Ryan Gosling, Patrick Stewart, Daniel Radcliffe and Charlize Theron.
ALICE IN CHAINS has set a May 28 release date for "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here". Those who can't wait that long to hear new music can receive an instant download of new single, "Stone", by pre-ordering the album on iTunes.
The band, who grace the cover of this month's Revolver magazine, will perform "Stone" April 10 on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!""Stone" follows the album's hugely successful first single "Hollow", which hit No. 1 on both the Mainstream and Active Rock radio charts, while its companion video has amassed more than a million views on YouTube.
